The number of turns in primary coil of a transformer is 20 and the number of turns in the secondary is 10 . If the voltage across the primary is 220 V , what is the voltage across the secondary?
- Correct answerA110 V
- B130 V
- C190 V
- D310 V
Solution
Given, $N_P=20, N_S=10, e_P=220 \mathrm{~V}$
$\therefore$ Transformation ratio, $k$
$\frac{e_S}{e_P}=\frac{N_S}{N_P}$
or$\quad e_S=\frac{N_S}{N_P} \times e_P$
$=\frac{10}{20} \times 220=110 \mathrm{~V}$
Hence, the correct answer is option: 'A'.
