$Y=5 \sin \frac{\pi}{2}(100 t-2 x)$, what is time period?

  • Correct answer
    A
    $0.04 s$
  • B
    $1 s$
  • C
    $0.06 s$
  • D
    $0.02 S$

Solution

Given that, $Y=5 \sin (50 \pi t-\pi x)$ ...(i) Equation of displacement, $Y=A \sin (\omega t-k x)$ ...(ii) After comparing with Eqs. (i) and (ii), $\omega=50 \pi$ $\because$ Time period, $\mathrm{T}=\frac{2 \pi}{\omega}=\frac{2 \pi}{50 \pi}=0.04 \mathrm{~s}$

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'A'.
