A bullet comes out of the barrel of gun of length 2 m with a speed $80 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}$. The average acceleration of the bullet is
- A$1.6 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}^2$
- B$160 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}^2$
- Correct answerC$1600 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}^2$
- D$16 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}^2$
Solution
Given, $s=2 \mathrm{~m}, u=80 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}, v=0$
From $v^2=u^2-2 a s$
$\therefore (0)^2=(80)^2-2 \times a \times 2$
or $a=\frac{80 \times 80}{4}=1600 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}^2$
Hence, the correct answer is option: 'C'.
