Q49 / 90 · JEE Main 2021 (17 Mar Shift 1) · Mathematics

Which of the following is true for yx that satisfies the differential equation

dydx=xy-1+x-y; y0=0

  • Correct answer
    A
    y1=e-12-1
  • B
    y1=e12-e-12
  • C
    y1=1
  • D
    y1=e12-1

Solution

Given dydx=1+yx-1

⇒dy(y+1)=x-1dx

Integrate both the sides we get,

 lny+1=x22-x+c

Given y0=0⇒c=0

∴ y=ex22-x-1

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'A'.
