B.Ozone

C.I2

D.Molecular hydrogen

Choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below :

  • A

    A and D only

  • B
    B and C only
  • Correct answer
    C
     A and B only
  • D
    C and D only

Solution

The greenhouse effect is a process that occurs when gases in Earth's atmosphere trap the Sun's heat. This process makes Earth much warmer than it would be without an atmosphere. The main greenhouse gases whose concentrations are rising are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and ozone in the lower atmosphere. I2 and H2 are not green house gases.

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'C'.
