Q33 / 90 · JEE Main 2022 (25 Jul Shift 2) · Mathematics

The number of bijective function f1,3,5,7,⋯,99→2,4,6,8,⋯,100 if f3>f5>f7⋯>f99 is

  • Correct answer
    A
    C150
  • B
    C250
  • C
    50!2
  • D
    C350×3!

Solution

Given, f1,3,5,7,⋯,99→2,4,6,8,⋯,100

The number of elements in domain and codomain is 99.

Now, let us assume f1=100

Figure

Now as per diagram we have only 1 way for arranging f3>f5>f7⋯>f99,

Similarly if we choose f1=98 then again we have only 1 way for arranging  f3>f5>f7⋯>f99,

So we can see the arrangement f3>f5>f7⋯>f99 depends upon f1,

So number of ways for choosing f1 is C150

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'A'.
