The correct order of response of organs for increasing blood pressure is
- Correct answerAKidney - Liver - Lungs - Adrenal gland - Kidney
- BKidney - Lungs - Liver - Adrenal gland - Kidney
- CKidney - Liver - Adrenal gland - Lungs - Kidney
- DKidney - Lungs - Adrenal gland - Liver - Kidney
Solution
In response to decrease in blood pressure or GFR, the kidneys release Renin. Renin acts on the liver and converts angiotensinogen into angiotensin I. In the lungs angiotensin I is converted to angiotensin II with the help of angiotensin converting enzyme. Angiotensin II is a vasoconstrictor and also stimulates the adrenal gland which releases aldosterone. Aldosterone acts on the kidneys and helps in absorption of sodium ions. Thus this mechanism increases blood pressure
Hence, the correct answer is option: 'A'.
