Q43 / 90 · JEE Main 2022 (25 Jun Shift 2) · Mathematics

If y=yx is the solution of the differential equation 2x2dydx-2xy+3y2=0 such that ye=e3, then y1 is equal to

  • A
    13
  • Correct answer
    B
    23
  • C
    32
  • D
    3

Solution

Given 2x2dydx-2xy+3y2=0

Dividing by 2x2y2, we get,

-1y2dydx+1xy=32x2

Let 1y=p,-1y2dydx=dpdx

⇒  dpdx+1xp=32x2

General solution will be p·e∫1xdx=∫32x2·e∫1xdxdx+c
⇒  xy=∫32xdx+c  ⇒xy=32 lnx+c

∵   ye=e3⇒c=32    ⇒xy=32lnx+32 is the particular solution.

when x=1;  y1=23

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'B'.
