If x=sinθ,y=sin3θ then d2ydx2 at θ = π2 is ….

  • A
    3
  • Correct answer
    B
    6
  • C
    16
  • D
    13

Solution

We have , x=sinθ,y=sin3θ
∴dydx=dydθdxdθ=3sin2θcosθcosθ
⇒dydx=3sin2θ
Now, d2ydx2=32sinθcosθdθdx
=32sinθcosθ1cosθ=6sinθ
at θ=π2,d2ydx2=6sin⁡π2=6×1=6

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'B'.
