If f'x=asinx+bcosx, f'0=4, f0=3 and fπ2=5, then fx=

  • A
    -2cosx-4sinx+1
  • Correct answer
    B
    2cosx+4sinx+1
  • C
    2sinx-4cosx+1
  • D
    2sinx+4cosx+1

Solution

Given,

f'x=asinx+bcosx      ...i

and f'(0)=4

⇒f'0=a sin0+bcos0

⇒b=4

Integrating both the sides of equation i with respect to x,

∫f'x dx=∫asinx+bcosxdx

fx=-acosx+bsinx+c

fx=-acosx+4sinx+c

∵ f0=3, fπ2=5

⇒fπ2=-acosπ2+4sinπ2+c=4+c

⇒5=4+c

⇒c=1

⇒f0=-acos0+4sin0+1=-a+1

⇒a=-2

∴fx=2cosx+4sinx+1.

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'B'.
