Find the current in the $8 \Omega$ resistance in the given circuit.

- A2 A
- Correct answerB3 A
- C4 A
- D5 A
Solution
The circuit can be redrawn as
So, the circuit is break in two parts.
As the other end of $8 \Omega$ resistor is grounded, is at zero potential, the potential difference across $8 \Omega$ resistor $=24-0=24 \mathrm{~V}$
So, current in $8 \Omega$ resistor $\mathrm{I}=\frac{\mathrm{V}}{\mathrm{R}}=\frac{24-0}{8}=3 \mathrm{~A}$.
