Solution

Current through $2 K Ω$ is
$i = \frac{10}{2000} = 5 m A$
Current through 4 $K Ω$
$i_{L} = i - i_{z} = \frac{6}{4000} = 1.5 m A$
$\Rightarrow i_{z} = i - 1.5$

$∴ i_{z} = 5 - 1 .5 = 3 .5 mA$

Hence, the correct answer is option: 'B'.
